Taste of West Jackson 2023 Fundraiser

John Perkins, also known as “Big John,” lead pastor of Common Ground Covenant Church, started Taste of West Jackson back in 2016. The festival continued for four years, amassing more than 1,000 attendees annually. It featured the best of the best in food and music, and celebrated the economic and community development happening all across the West Jackson community.

Taste of West Jackson 2023 was held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 

This event brought approximately 200 attendees to Refill, showcased over 25 local businesses, and raised over $6,000 for Refill’s workforce training programming for disconnected youth. Attendees also told us the event built pride and positive energy for West Jackson. We could not have done it without the generous support of our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, planning committee and attendees!
